THE PROJECT
A fresh, colourful identity with a pop character.
Bioblend is a personal concept for a natural drinks brand, created to explore AI as a creative tool. I used an AI-generated brief as the starting point for the visual identity.
I developed the logo, colour palette, illustrations, packaging and communication materials, creating a fresh, colourful visual language with a pop aesthetic that puts the ingredients first. The exercise explores how to keep the brand consistent and recognisable across its different elements.
01 · THE CHALLENGE
Putting the ingredients at the heart of the identity.
The aim was to create a fresh, colourful drinks brand with a pop aesthetic, built around its ingredients. The identity needed to combine an immediately engaging character with references to fruit and nature, making the brand recognisable across its applications.
02 · THE PROCESS
From research to design exploration.
I developed the name myself after reviewing several AI-generated suggestions that did not feel quite right. I then studied the visual identities of similar businesses and explored colours and shapes that could convey freshness, authenticity and warmth. Through a series of typographic experiments, I worked towards a logo that would function both as a full wordmark and as a compact badge.
To present the applications, I generated mockup images with Midjourney and then applied my designs in Photoshop.
03 · THE SOLUTION
Expressive typography, vibrant colour.
I chose a contemporary serif typeface with calligraphic forms to give the wordmark a warm, natural feel. Concave shapes and interlocking letters create rhythm, while the compact version allows the logo to work as a badge.
The bright palette gives the brand its fresh, pop character. The fruit illustrations echo the expressive typography and connect the identity to the ingredients. The system extends across packaging and communication materials.
04 · THE RESULT
Exploring AI’s possibilities and limits in practice.
With Bioblend, I wanted to understand how I could use AI in my work and where its limits lay. I found it useful for research, exploring ideas in more depth and finding a few creative starting points. The suggestions did not fully convince me, though, so I developed my own direction for the name and visual identity.
AI proved particularly useful for mockups. I used Midjourney to create custom settings with a consistent visual style, then applied my designs in Photoshop. This was the part of the experiment that gave me the most convincing results.
